Biography

With a passion for Old World craftsmanship Brian Lock builds fine custom mandolins in his shop near Santa Fe New Mexico. In his work he strives to honor tradition while pushing the visual and acoustic aesthetic of the mandolin.

He has been fortunate enough to study at the Mandolin Symposium in Santa Cruz,CA with John Monteleone in 2005, Mike Kemnitzer (Nugget) in 2006, and in 2009 with Steven Gilchrist. Brian is grateful to be a part of such an exciting time in mandolin history.
